    2010, 7(10): 577-578.
    Abstract ( 194 )   PDF (341KB) ( 204 )
Objective To observe the impact of Xu Duan Tong Luo Pian(XDTLP) on nerve conduction velocity(NCV) of experimental diabetic peripheral neuropathy(DPN) rats. Methods Diabetic rats were induced by STZ celiac injection. Then, the rats which successfully became diabetic model were divided into diabetic model group. Methycobal was given by 0.25mg/kg·d, XDTLP was given by3.2、6.3、12.6g/kg·d herb according to low, middle and high dose, which lasted 8 weeks. Results After treatment with XDTLP for8 weeks, NCV increased greatly. Conclusion The experiment showed that XDTLP can significantly improve the nerve conductive velocity in rats with DPN.

    2010, 7(10): 579-584.
    Abstract ( 236 )   PDF (522KB) ( 223 )
Objective To compare the acute toxicity of different components in Cortex Periplocae on mice which is all components、water extraction components and alcohol extraction components, make an observation and evaluation of acute toxicity to Cortex Periplocae herbs in order to provide a basis for safe and reasonable medication in clinical. Methods Respectively prepare the all components、water extraction components and alcohol extraction components, and compare the acute toxicity of different components in Cortex Periplocae on mice in accordance with classical acute toxicity test methods, and the experimental datas are calculated LD50 with the Bliss method and MTD method, with the continuous administration and observation for 14 days. Results the all components in Cortex Periplocae is unable to make LD50, MTD Results calculated in accordance with crude drug content is respectively 16.0g·kg-1·d-1,which is equal to 186.6 times of 70kg people's daily dried medicinal herb expenses. The LD50 of water extraction components and alcohol extraction components in Cortex Periplocae are 93.578g·kg-1·d-1 and the 95% confidence limit is 89.149~98.484g·kg-1·d-1 which is equal to1 091.8 times of 70kg people's daily dried medicinal herb expenses and 61.388g·kg-1·d-1 and the 95% confidence limit is 57.466~65.521g·kg-1·d-1 which is equal to 716.2 times of 70kg people's daily dried medicinal herb expenses. The main toxical symptoms and signs are the convulsions, tetraplegia, diarrhoea and the respiratory depression, the deaths mainly occurred in less than 48 hours used by the all components、water extraction components and alcohol extraction components. Conclusion The acute toxicity of different components in Cortex Periplocae on mice is: alcohol extract>water extract>all-components.

GUI Xiu-zhi, WENG Yu-qiu, MO Sheng ,QIU Hui
    2010, 7(10): 588-591.
    Abstract ( 175 )   PDF (397KB) ( 150 )
The purpose is to investigate immune tolerance and the efficacy of hepatitis B vaccine and BCG immunization of infants on the prevention of mother to child transmission(PMTCT) programs, in order to provide the basis for corresponding vaccination policy. We provide PMTCT service to HIV -positive mothers and define infants of HIV-positive mothers as experimental group(EG), while infants beard by HIV-negative mothers as comparative group (CG). The two groups were vaccinated regularly and had PPD tests and anti-HBs level tests. In consequence, the HIV prevalence in infants born to mothers on the PMTCT programs is substantially lower than infants not in the program. The PPD-positive rates of the both groups are above 90%, and the mean content of anti-HBs for EG and CG are 296.83~3.10mIU/mL and 354.30~2.37mIU/mL respectively. In Conclusion , the efficacy of hepatitis B and BCG vaccine immunization of infants born to HIV-positive mothers is similar to normal infants.

    DONG Fang
    2010, 7(10): 601-602.
    Abstract ( 188 )   PDF (425KB) ( 266 )
Medical device adverse event monitoring and medical device anew registration are the two inseparable supervision section for before and after medical device launch. It is reaction each other and which is the inner request of risk management in its all life cycle. Medical device adverse event monitoring is very important to anew registration, which its aim to detect the potential risk of post-marketing and replenish the data which couldn't sufficiency supplied during prophase registration. Through anew registration we will refer adverse event evaluation reports and strengthen the responsibility consciousness of enterprise. It can improve the safety of anew registration medicals and distinct every departmental duties. As the same time it can promote the work of medical device adverse event monitoring and raise the safety of medical device.

Methods 154 reports of serious drug adverse reaction induced by Shuxuening injection were statistical analyzed from 2004 to 2009 in Qinghai Center for ADR monitoring. Results Serious adverse reactions were include skin damage and annex damage, systemic damage, central and peripheral nervous system damage, gastrointestinal system damage/respiratory damage and other accounted for 85.62%. Anaphylactic shock, dyspnean suffocating, laryngeal edema and other is the mainly serious adverse reactions, none of dieth and sequelae case. Conclusion We should enhance the rational use and monitoring of Shuxuening injection to avoid adverse reactions.

Objective To explore the general rule and the characteristics of adverse drug reaction(ADR) induced by Shenmai injection and to provide some references for clinical medicine and rational use of drug. Methods One part of the ADR reports were collected by Zhongshan People's Hospital of 2008 to 2009, another part of the reports were collected by national journals of 1994 to 2009. 170 ADR则eports were analyzed using retrospective study method. Results ADR appeared mostly in the 40 age group, and more in female. The onset of ADR was usually within the first 30 min during the infusion. and the clinical manifestations of ADR were various, of which the allergic reaction was the most common. Conclusion Doctors and pharmacists should pay more attention to the ADR of Shenmai injection for the Immediate allergic reaction.
