Analysis of 45 Cases of Adverse Drug Reaction Induced by Alprostadil

Abstract: ObjectiveTo analyze the adverse drug reaction(ADR) caused by alprostadil in our hospital and to provide reference to its rational use. MethodsThe cases of ADR by alprostadil reported in our hospital from 2008 to 2012 were collected. A statistical analysis was conducted based on gender, age, clinical manifestation, rescue strategies and prognosis of the ADR. ResultsFor 45 cases collected, the ages of patients were mostly over 30, the primary ADRs related organs or systems were peripheral vascular system, skin and central nervous system. The main clinical manifestations were phlebitis, rash, dizzy and headache, most appeared 0~3 days after dosing. ConclusionThe monitoring for adverse reactions of alprostadil should be strengthened. Early prevention can reduce the incidence of adverse reactions.
