Pharmaceutical Care of a Patient with HBV Infection after Second Renal Transplantation

Abstract: Objective To explore pharmaceutical care methods for patients with hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection after second renal transplantation. Methods Clinical pharmacist provided individualized pharmaceutical care for a patient with HBV infection after second renal transplantation, analyzed the abnormal indexes during treatment, and offered recommendations about pharmacy. Results Urine protein and urine microalbumin disappeared, hepatitis B virus-related liver damage was improved, and the tacrolimus concentration was controlled to reach the standard. Conclusion Clinical pharmacists need to offer individualized pharmaceutical care for patients with hepatitis B virus infection after renal transplantation.
