Analysis of 346 Allergic Shock Cases Caused by Clindamycin

Abstract: Objective To investigate the influence factors and rational treatment of allergic shock caused by clindamycin. Methods 346 allergic shock cases caused by clindamycin in the national adverse drug reaction monitoring system between 2009 and June 2012 were analyzed. Results Allergic shock caused by clindamycin was related to the off-label use of drug. The prognosis has tight relationship with timely diagnosis and rational treatment. Conclusion Safety monitoring and timely treatment is the effective way to decrease risk of allergic shock of clindamycin.
