Abstract: Diphenoxylate is a ramification of meperidine and has similar pharmacology reaction with opioid. Monitoring data of these years indicated that drug abuser did use diphenoxylate and overdose of diphenoxylate can lead to poisoning. There are also some case reports about diphenoxylate abuse in normal people. This paper tentatively introduced abuse document and monitoring data of diphenoxylate in order to reveal abuse tendency and to promote intelligent use of this substance. Hoping this paper can provide some information for drug administration.
