Abstract: This paper summarized the extracting methods of polysaccharides discovered in recent years, and reviewed the applications including enzyme extraction, two aqueous phase extraction, ultrasonic extraction, microwave-assisted extraction, supercritical fluid extraction, high pressure extraction, molecular distillation technique in extraction of polysaccharides from Traditional Chinese Medicine in detail, respectively. The principles and characteristics of these techniques were described, and their future developments were prospected, which aims at providing some useful information for further study on the extraction of polysaccharides.
