Effects of Total Flavone of Abelmoschl Manihot Combined with Glipizide on Model Rats of Diabetic Nephropathy

Abstract: Objective To investigate the effects of total flavone of Abelmoschl manihot(TFA) combined with glipizide on GK model rats of diabetic nephropathy. Methods The GK model rats were induced by high-calorie and high-protein diet. The level of glycosylated hemoglobin, blood fat, indothelin, urinary microalbumin, blood rheology, renal function, indexes and pathology of renal were determined to evaluate the auxiliary therapeutic effects of TFA on model rats of diabetic nephropathy. Results Compared with glipizide group, the level of glycosylated hemoglobin, blood fat, indothelin, urinary microalbumin, BUN, CR, blood viscosity and indexes of renal was decreased, at the same time pathological changes of kidney were alleviated significantly in glipizide plus TFA(50、100 mg·kg-1, i.g) groups. Conclusion TFA has a remarkable auxiliary therapeutic effect on GK model rats of diabetic nephropathy.
